From the Taxpayers Alliance comes news that 6 of West Somerset's 28 district councillors had to be sent reminders after failing to pay their council tax on time.

Total arrears involved were £1,947.70.

Sadly they're not named, it would be interesting to see.

West Somerset councillors appear to be excelling at not paying their council tax on time, taking the lead over Cornwall Council where 17 out of 123, or around 1 in 7, councillors failed to pay on time.

West Somerset takes the lead, with just over 1 in 5 paying late.

A shining example to the rest of us, struggling with huge bills and trying to make ends meet, when those on the council can't manage to pay the council tax on time.
