Gaddafi: Arabs and Palestinians should have nuclear weapons

If Israel has nuclear weapons, then the Arab countries of the region, including Palestinians are entitled to have the same type of weapon, said Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi British television channel Sky News.

"If the Israelis have nuclear weapons and nuclear capability, then Egyptians, Syrians, Saudis have the same right (to have that ability), and even the Palestinians should have him as their peers or their adversaries have nuclear capabilities. Why not? "Said Gadhafi, according to excerpts of an interview with Sky News broadcast Monday morning.

Israel has never publicly acknowledged possessing nuclear weapons but the country is mainly considered a nuclear power.

In As for Iran, the Libyan leader said instead: "Should Iran develop nuclear weapons, then everybody, including us, would be against them. But Iran said it would not (atomic weapons),''he said.
