Ampatuan clan resided in Maguaindanao province, Mindanao, Southern of the Philippines welknown here in Indonesia as a powerfull clan who had their own private soldiers, heavily armed. World breaking news when Ampatuan clan had massacred 57 people, included 30 jurnalists and 30 member of rival clan. This group had a such power that prevent the Goverment forces to capture, arresting the clan members who accused for murder.
The murdered happend when in November 2009 a convoy of political rival leader, Mangandau clan, on their way to Syarif Aquak town capital of Manguindanau province, was attacked by 100 militiamen of Ampatuan clan. The convoy lead by Vice mayor wife, Datu Ismail Toto, who will file the certifiate of Governor candidancy for Toto in belief they will not hurt the women.
Beside murdered, they also held 47 people as the hostages that Police trying to persuade the militiaman before rescued them by forced.
Govermen said that Datu Andal Ampatuan Sr with 24 people had been charged with rebellion together with 638 people will be investigated by Justice Dept. His son Andal Jr have been charged with multiple count of murders with other 247 people.

Ampatuan family entered the politic after People power revolution in 1986 took over the Goverment and President Aquiono administration appointed Datu Andal Ampatuan Sr. as an elected Mangundanau Governor. The power of this clan saw in their status in the Goverment offices, where 3 Mayor positions belong to 2 his own son, Datu Andal Ampatuan Jr as a Daty unsay city mayor and Anwar Ampatuan as a Syarif Aquak city mayor and his son in law Datu Ahmad Ampatuan as a Mamasapano city mayor.
Beside 3 mayors position the other son Zaldy Ampatuan was a Regional head of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao
In order to achieved high power in the Goverment, the power tend to seek every ways including team up own military to assasinated political rivals and also tend to nepotism to aquired all strategis position to the closet families.
