A BILLION HOME IN INDIA

The home of India's richest man, Mukesh Ambani, in Mumbai. The $1-billion home, seven years in the making, is 400,000 square feet on 27 floors, all for a family of six. The building is named Antilia, after a mythical island.

The home boasts a 168-space lot, three helipads, a swimming pool, yoga studio, mini-theater, three balconies with terrace gardens, a health club and spectacular views of the Arabian Sea (and the Mumbai slums).
Since we weren’t invited inside, take a tour from the exterior in the photo gallery above and read Magnier’s report “There’s no place like this home.”

India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, is about to welcome his closest friends to his $1-billion Mumbai home that is billed as the most expensive in history, anywhere, reports Mark Magnier from New Delhi. The building, seven years in the making, is 400,000 square feet on 27 floors, all for a family of six.

MUMBAI, India — The home has a swimming pool and yoga studio. By some accounts, an ice room to escape the Mumbai heat, infused with man-made snow flurries.

MUMBAI, India — "It's a stupendous show of wealth," said Hamish McDonald, author of "Ambani & Sons: A History of the Business." "It's kind of positioning business tycoons as the new maharajah of India."
