Cannibal Peter Bryan killed a fellow inmate at Broadmoor because he wanted to eat him, an inquest has been told.
Bryan, whom some dubbed the English Hannibal Lecter, strangled Richard Loudwell with a cord and smashed his head against the ground repeatedly.
A Broadmoor hospital nurse told the inquest that Bryan had said he had been thinking about it for a few days, and that he wanted to eat his victim.
This attack wasn't Bryans first dalliance with cannibalism - he was sentenced to life and sent to Broadmoor after butchering another man, Bryan Cherry, and frying his brains in butter.
Amazingly, that attack in which he ate his victims brain was not his first murder either - he was detained in Rampton Secure Hospital after beating a shop assistant to death with a hammer in 1993.
Whilst some dubbed him the British Hannibal Lecter or the English Cannibal, it is worth noting that many would dispute the accuracy of this given that Bryan is the son of immigrants from Barbados.
With three dead in the wake of this man, and countless cost to the taxpayer dealing with the aftermath of his crimes, immigration really is the 'gift' that keeps on giving for generations to come.
