WOW!!!
This one is for the record books, I tell ya!
Flash back 28 years ago, and my graduation thesis on the “Freudian Study of Adolf Hitler” whereby I learned the horrid details of death as the aftermath of World War II.
Flash forward 4 years and a shopping day with my university girlfriend in Calgary, Alberta. In the middle of Calgary’s largest mall was a display of Nazi memorabilia for sale, which if you knew how many ex-Nazis escaped Germany in ‘45 and skulked into Canada's prairie provinces to permanently disappear, you wouldn’t think this display very odd. The salesman had various trinkets for sale including a parade flag with that onerous swastika, only for $100. As I surveyed the wears, I couldn’t make myself physically touch any of them, and even though that flag looked temping (as I am a history nut), I felt that if I even touched it, much less owned it, the blood of all those concentration camp internees would also be on my hands as well, so I passed on the sale but never forgot the experience of almost buying history.
Flash forward 24 years to an article my B3 Guest Author, Mr. Poirot, sent me on the ynet news.com site, entitled “Nazi souvenirs on sale in Tel Aviv” and I gasped!
Family members of Jewish concentration camp victims buying Nazi memorabilia in Dizengoff Square flea market, items of death on sale for a deal!!!
Maybe now I can use the phrase “to Jew down” with a sense of validity and not just effrontery, I thought to myself! I’ve heard acquiring a “steal of a deal’ but this takes the cake!
The sellers and the buyers, all Jewish and many direct relatives of the crematorium victims excuse this burgeoning industry with points of defence such as being afflicted with Stockholm Syndrome (obsessively relating to one’s captors) and solidifying the existence of the concentration camps to nay-sayers by owning evidence of said.
When asked if these salesmen would sell glasses and locks of hair of the victims, they say they would not…but one wonders…
Such items as a Nazi First Aid kit designed to attach to a motorcycle will go for $670 USD, a Nazi officer’s clock for $1,000 and Hitler’s own hand done paintings for $350,000.00.
The really valuable items are not displayed on the flea market tables but are housed in boxes and drawers, shown when requested for sale by enquiring serious buyers.
None of the Jewish stall owners nor roaming shoppers seem to be phased by this other-worldly display and salesmen easily admit that this industry has been in progress for many years, well before this display was discovered.
Such salesmen admit that they are trying to scour the countryside for items before Hitler becomes a cultural icon, as are now the likes of Stalin and Mao Tse Tung, and Jewish buyers don’t want to miss a good deal on the ground level of this buying spree.
One wonders how these people go to sleep at night knowing they own a relic of death directly associated with the demise of their own family members? And I wonder why I felt so guilt-ridden back then, that to touch such memorabilia would also stain my hands with innocent blood?
According to these deal-makers, MsBurb was a financial putz; according to my moral code, I wasn’t. Now I’m pretty sure that $100 Nazi flag will be hanging on the wall of some Jewish man or woman whose Mother or Father died a horrible death directly because of it’s existence.
It’s enough to make me gulp, shake my head and walk away from this post depressingly confused…
Even my keyboard seems bloody to me now.

Beside, after sometime, a friend of mine, Niran Raphi asked my favor to serve in another Post, Kapuk Muara Post, North Jakarta, to improve their service to the congregation as I did in Tegal Alur Post..
Tegal Alur Post.
After 25 years history, the Post had in statusquo, stucked as a very simple Post, didn't got a serious attention from the Board of elders Management, Gereja Kristen Indonesia Kwitang, Jakarta, a Big church, who had their attention splitted into 9 (nine) Posts and 14 (fourtheen) regions.
That was why I made my mind to involved directly organized this Post, after one Sunday late afternoon service, realized that just a single elder, Miss Adolfina Pareang who served the congregation for a long period of time. she was a mother of the post for 25 years services. Much of the members were her Sunday school pupils.
My first priority in the first year, I had encouraged the members of the Church to invoved in Sunday ritual service such as 2 (two) persons reading Bibles in fronf of the Altar, collecting the cash, playing organ and ushers. Besides I had tried to set up 3 organizations - eventually failed - two congregation small groups, and Kelompok Kecil Jemaat, KKJ, Sub Commission and Choir group. Those new organizations used as a tools to detected potential members, later to be the elders candidates to replaced me and my collegues, who stayed far away in another regions.
wahyuni, tan ely rocking with sajojo
In the second years, nobody come step forward to take an advantage to be a new elders. So as a training stages, the Board agreed to set up a new Development Body of the Post, Badan Pengembangan Pos Jemaat, BPPJ headed by Johny Chandra and Vice Evie Marianthi, Susanty Suteja, secretary and Lucy Halim, finance. The other members are Pnt.Carolina Tilukay, Jhony, Mrs.Lasmaria, Mrs.Tan Ely, Mrs.Wahyuni, Mr. Thio Romy and Mr.Joko Pioyo. The new body was baptized in the middle of a Sunday afternoon service by our priest, Guruh Sujatmiko.
New organist
So since February 2010 he starting scheduled as a new organist in the Post, that for 25 years depend on an organist from the center as scheduled. Occasionally the organist didn't show up. You may imagine if the organist is not avavailable, how the Sunday service situation could be. We can't blame the members who tempted to looking for other churches, far better organized, available around the region.
We drive church's Kijang by Fritz to the toll road headed to the airport at 3.30, practizing a few songs on the way. The service run at 4.30 - 6.15 pm. Arrived at Kwitang back in 7.15 and reach home at.8.30 - 9.00 pm. So I spend almost 6 hours in one Sunday service, voluntered.
diana reading my poem
I wrote this Post due to my service will soon due at the end of March 31, 2010 and formally I have no more legal status to intervere in all matters happened in the Post. I had always put my self in the position, obey the Church regulation (Tata gereja) and saw the other activists to hand off their hand in every activities that not formally admitted.
Kapuk Muara Post
While serving Tegal Alur in the second year, the Coordinator of the elders in the Post, Mrs.Wulansari Bambang stepped down, took a year break before assigned for another term. The remain 2 (two) elders asked my favor, since occasionlly Mr.Niran was away out of town for the business trip and leaved Mr.Ie Yang Sui, an old generation alone.
From that time I spare my time 2 Sundays in one Post and take turn to another Post for another 2 Sundays as well. Mr.Niran gave me the opportunities to organized the services. The first thing to do right away was similar to what I had done in neighbour post, Tegal Alur.
I discussed the ideas with the elders and youngsters there, Retno Yuliana, Yanti, Mrs.Yemima Ie (Maya) and an organist Mrs.Fafa to scheduled activists who will take part in every Sunday mid morning service. Previously only the selected elders admitted to took part of the services.
kapuk vocal group
Song leaders
The activists were very happy with this new policy and eagerly participately full hearted. Unfortunately one thing should paid a serious attention, particularly in the song rythm. The young activists lack of experiencing and knowledges about singing. Sometime we heard tree kind of tunes, one tune coming out from Liturgos, whos rythm, differ, away from the organ tunes. The second is a preacher tune, relatively good but let the liturgos take the lead and the last are the congregation, confusing and humming whatever they prefer to followed
Practising after Sunday service
The avalaibility of the song leader should be a priority, beside a practises after the service time over at midday, for the next sunday service songs.
The songs are the basic factor beside a good scriptures preaching and praying in order to avoided our members trying the Charismatic churches that spread around Kapuk regions and to hold them tight not intimidated to move away.
In the first year after talents scouting, I had discovered a lots of young members that qualify for the new elders, that for long time monopolized by the old generation.
Unfortunately on one dare to say "yes" from the 4 (four) candidates positively qualify. I was relieved, my prayer answered after the second year, when my services period almost over. They change their mind, say "Yes" and accepted God's calling their heart and mind to obey and serve Him.
angpao tree 2009 @pos kapuk
Haleluya, after Sinchia, Chinese new year, tree of them nodding their head say "Yes" and would be inaugurated soon in the special service next March 28, 2010. Beside 3 (tree) local candidates, we got the acceptance from a young man outside Kapuk region, Mr.Tjen Sufiatno, ex an elder from Region IV/V, lived neighbour region, not too far from Kapuk post.
Closing remarks.
I pray to the Lord, after leaving the Post at the end of March 2010, they newly generation and an old lady - just hospitalized - encourage by he Lord will take over the job and headed by the Holy spirit will be able them to serve Him.
I had spend more than 3 years, took my parts especially in the Human resourches recruitment and related matters. The rest leaved it to the new generation to watering and sure The Lord would be blessed his own body on earth. Amin

ELEIÇÕES 2010: Mais uma vez, o chamado a uma Frente Classista e Socialista

Eduardo Almeida Neto

Ahhhh….K-Mart…those often talked about but rarely seen… “Blue-Light Specials”…
when decent, God fearing housewives would politely run, not walk, to the centre of the department store, for dessert plates at only $1.15 each for the next ten minutes…
Blue-Light Specials were almost never found in the Toy Department in those days but that was okay because it gave us kids time without our Mothers, to ponder our next Barbie-doll purchase…
How were we to know that buying K-Tel would help the Cartel grow omniscient?
It’s not like we kids KNEW back then that Barbie’s were made from plastic and plastic was a petroleum product. Heck, we walked around in public at the ripe old age of six never having known that. So the Barbie’s were bought, the play never ended and the Middle Eastern countries, thanks to MsBurb, got out from under their desert sand-laden Bedouin tents and wore designer bed sheets in palaces made of gold instead.
And I know, don’t remind me, that double-record album set of the Partridge Family I conned my Mother into buying me for a whopping $11.99 helped instigate the 1974 gas shortage in America too!
I didn’t mean to do it. How was I to know that cars the size of Winnebago's needed that much fuel? But, then again, who knew the driver of a 1974 Mercury or Buick had to swing the steering wheel right to make enough axle room for the “boat” to turn left?
Ahhh those were the days, weren’t they?
As the newscasts droned on and on about the fuel shortage, about the Cartel’s control over oil and North America’s need for that gooey black gunk, I and my girlfriends were fanning the petroleum crisis flames right on our bedroom carpets…plastic Barbie campers, plastic Barbie tents, heck, even a plastic Barbie Beauty Salon with accompanying plastic hair dryer…
If our parents would have told us what we were doing instead of just harping on and on about starving children in Africa because we refused to eat our broccoli, maybe North America would be courting REAL kings instead of desert rats pretending to be kings.
Maybe if I’d refrained from buying yet another set of fashionable plastic shoes for Barbie No.#15, we’d never have had any use for the word “Cartel” and continued to shop “K-Tel” instead.
I’ve been thinking lately that if handing in my Barbie dolls and K-Tel record collection to bin Laden would help end this War on Terrorism, I would sacrifice and give for the Cause…
I left a message at the White House reception Desk, that I would be willing to do my part.
They haven’t got back to me yet.
I never did find the plastic container which housed the mini playing cards in the candy and prize vending machines at K-Mart. But if I’d known those plastic containers sparked the Middle East crisis, I would have stopped feeding my nickels into those machines in my quest for prize gold.
There were allot of things we kids didn’t know back then and as we drove home with our Mothers, the plastic wrap tearing off our latest purchase as we sat there in the car, we would have taken a second thought as to whether or not those plastic Barbie-doll sized Go-Go boots were really necessary.
But as our Moms drove into the gas station to fill up Betsy for the umpteenth time, they never told us we were at fault.
If Obama decides to put a gigantic Blue Box on the front lawn of the White House for recycling Barbie dolls and K-Tel records, you know, as a final act in stopping this war, would you people please let ol’ MsBurb know. I don’t have the plastic wrap anymore on any of these play toy items but maybe the Cartel won’t mind…

I get it, I really do.
God said, “Go forth and multiply!” and so we did…some 6+ BILLION later…
God said, “Do not kill!” and so we did…kill, I mean…we went out and invented weapons to do one another in, in the name of some incorrect and inane “Right To Bear Arms” Amendment from Hell…but Thank God, we ignored The Big Guy on this one, or we’d be at 12+ BILLION!!!
God said, “Go forth and spread the Good News!”…and so we did…we shoved our “Christianity” down as many “heathen” throats globally as we possibly could because, for sure, the means are ALWAYS justified by the end, rrright?
WRONG!!!
Just because you are American, a member of the Super Power-From-Hell, and just because you’re a pushy, brain-dead, socially blind “Christian” does NOT give you the right to saunter over to another country and “move” their children out, just in the name of your Jesus and everything you hold dearly to YOU.
Yes, there was a horrible disaster in Haiti.
Yes, the children who were already disenfranchised are now more so, thanks to the dead and dying.
Yes, it’s a 3rd World country in need of 1st World countries help.
But no, oh no, the means that these 10 “Missionaries” took to justify their own definition of an “end” is NOT, I repeat NOT, Christian, nor is it socially acceptable from ANY perspective!
And before I continue this wholly inappropriate rant, please explain to me why Extremist missionaries always have that “look”, like they’ve had a frontal lobotomy just like Wal-Mart greeters??? And Laura Silsby was the Head Bible Thumper to boot!
Is that what happens when you graduate from Missionary School, or is this just another group of blind lambs led to the slaughter that old Charles Manson himself could still, even today, work into his own Family if the Little Dude was freed???
And you know what?
I’ll tell ya what…
Those missionaries will all be freed and will be allowed to return to the United States because Haiti knows from where it’s bread is being buttered these days…NOT because they deserve to be freed, NOT because they didn’t commit kidnapping under Haitian Law, just because Americans, who by definition, are super-powered, get yet another “Pass” in their never-ending struggle to assimilate everyone into their own fold.
If Haiti had been an oil-rich country, heck, those Bible Thumpers would have been home the same day the charges were laid. No, I’m wrong, those charges would have NEVER been laid in the first place and these lobotomized God freaks would have received medals of Honour instead…sigh…
And you know what else?
Well, you KNOW MsBurb will tell ya!
All ten of these Do-Gooders will eventually return (eight of the ten already on U.S. soil this week), guilt-free and even more emboldened to their beliefs, even more dedicated to their “good works”, so much so that I fear for the next 3rd World country which has the next need and a whole new bunch of wayward children for the taking…
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember an 11th Commandment which said, “In MY name, you can do no wrong. In MY name, you are immune to Man’s laws!”
I mean, I always wondered why there were only two tablets. I've always suspected that there were more but I guess Moses just dropped the others as he slipped and fell on the ash from that Burning Bush…
