Former Labour MP Margaret Moran has the dubious honour of becoming the latest politician caught up in the expenses scandal which saw the British taxpayer ripped off for a fortune - she's due to appear before magistrates charged with 21 offences relating to her parliamentary claims.
Moran, former MP for Luton South, faces 15 charges of false accounting and 6 charges of forgery.
The forgery charges relate to incidents where she allegedly submitted forged invoices.
Miss Moran, subsequently suspended by Labour, claimed over £20,000 for treatment of dry rot at her Southampton home.
The criminal investigations relate to allegations that she 'flipped' her designated second home repeatedly, making claims for properties in London, Southampton, and Luton, over a period of four years.
She is alleged to have fiddled over £60,000 in expenses, and is due to appear before City of Westminster Magistrates Court on September 19.
The case has already previously been delayed because Moran claims that she is suffering from ill health.
Repetitive Stress Injury from filling out all of those expenses claims maybe?
