Well, what a week.
I suppose I'd best open by stating I'm doing something against the grain - just posting this without admin approval, so be it, I was asked to write relevant stories and post as I saw fit, I am doing just that.
I'll live with the consequences, indeed I'd rather live with them than say nothing and have to live with that.
I've just been handed a copy of Mike Howsons resignation letter where he resigns as RO for the South West.
Again, to make it clear, it was not via Mike Howson, indeed he'll probably not be too happy to see this post.
It's from a reputable source though, I'm sure the recipients it was sent to can all confirm this is genuine, if not of course I have a copy saved. Nick would be disappointed else, he said as much to the audience at a recent hustings.
"At this moment we have been administratively cut off from central office, and both the South West Region and myself have been abandoned. I have not received any membership updates or correspondence from HO for some weeks."
There, as a quote from Mikes letter to prove it.
As a region we were also cut off when we were 'accidentally' not included in the list of contacts/regions and regional organisers which was sent out with the recent postal newsletter.
Head offices idea of dealing with dissent is to force individuals, and if necessary entire regions, out. Unity via the political grave.
We haemorrhage members and they force more out, seeking the party line puppet with lips sore from kissing the right backsides, rather than someone who will truly advance our party and our cause.
Lots of people - I don't include myself, I'm a relative newcomer and make no secret of it - have worked tirelessly to build the SW up.
This is the thanks that they get, deleted from the official literature, elbowed out until a yes man can be found.
What do we see as a result?
BNP Threatened with Winding-Up Order for one. This for another - Knock Knock Who’s There? – Nick Griffin’s Car Seized. Electoral commission involvement over failed accounts, Met Police involvement, a bloody mess simply put. Watch the next month, it will get far worse.
Our councillors dwindle, our vote drops, a party in disarray and regions that have gone from active and strong to fragmented, shattered, and holding out on a renaissance until the amateur dictator is gone.
We've so many good people - God knows in my brief time here I have been honoured and awed at how many I have met in the SW alone - and yet we're nowhere. Worse, we're going backwards.
It shouldn't be this way, but it is - and that smacks of incompetence and agendas at the top, were this any other party then it would be the leadership resigning, not those who have achieved so much and who have truly put in the work.
South West Nationalists are a family - this website will continue to speak for nationalists in the SW, and indeed the nation, and we will continue to do what we do best.
We support Mike Howson, and the many great organisers, officials, and members in the SW, no matter which side of the divide they stand on. The SW response to the BNP Ideas conference is staggering, we have so many in the region who wish to move forwards from here.
Like it or lump it, we'll tell the truth and party line be damned.
The SW doesn't want some yes man appointed to run the region, we had far better - a man with genuine integrity and ideas. Among officials and non officials here the same is also true, so many people with genuine integrity and ideas, people who can build something great. I won't list names, but many on all sides of this divide could aptly wear that label, we are truly blessed with good people.
And, from speaking to many around the region, neither do they want a yes man website either.
Whilst I write here, agree with me or disagree with me and I welcome both, you're getting what I see as the truth. The same goes for every other writer on this site, we stand united because we agree that our differences and discussion add to the richness which is the nationalist tapestry.
SWN will continue - because it is our voice, and that will not be silenced. This is all of our voice, and we all stand together for a cause that is more important than anything else.
I'm truly not sure where things stand in the region now that Mike has stepped aside officially - but, I know where I stand. Today, tomorrow, this site will continue to bring you the truth and the opinions of true nationalists, whether or not that is something which the party leadership wishes you to hear.
Hope to see you all at the conference, and don't give up - together we will emerge from this stronger than ever in whatever form the revival of nationalism may take.
With people such as those it has been my pleasure to meet and work with here in the SW we cannot fail once we have a competent leadership and a true foundation on which we can all build.
The same holds true across Britain - we have the people, we have the talent, now we just need the leadership.
Where we go now is for you, me, and every one of us to decide, but it's clear we cannot go on as we are.
