With due apologies to all readers, it's Nick Clegg again! - yes, we're all sick of him, even the Liberal Democrats are, but this had to be worth bringing to peoples attention - this time with comments on the Human Rights Act and European Convention on Human Rights.

"So let me say something really clear about the Human Rights Act. In fact I’ll do it in words of one syllable: It is here to stay"

There we have it, in words of one syllable, thank you for making that clear Nick.

Under the Liberal Democrats watch it is here to stay. The insane European Convention on Human Rights given further legal effect in the UK.

Foreign rapists and terrorists we cannot deport are here to stay, it's against their human rights.

Every single decision has to be made with reference to a code of rights that is arbitary, senseless, and often reaches decisions which fly in the face of common sense.

If sanity prevails and they fail on human rights here, there is always an EU court for you to fall back on.

A vast and tangled legal bureaucracy which reaches its tentacles into every aspect of our existence is here to stay.

That's what voting Liberal Democrat gets you, your rights given away under the guise of a human rights act.

Who among you can honestly say that Britain is a better place for the insanity of the Human Rights Act?

It isn't, it has become a comedy of the absurd, a land where a foreign killer can be allowed to remain here and funded by the taxpayer because throwing him out would interfere with his family life

A land where rights are accorded to all who violate our rights.

Human Rights has handed all rights to the perpetrator, and taken all rights away from the victim, victims to be, or the nation as a whole.

Human Wrongs would be a more apt name for the way in which the whole legislation is enacted and applied, and for the damage which it does to our society.

Still, Nick Clegg - and I promise to try my best not mention him again in an article for at least a week, we're all sick of him - supports it.

Just for Nicks benefit though, is this a triumph for human rights? - Iraqi Kurd Aso Mohammed Ibrahim who left 12 year old Amy Houston to die under his car after a hit and run gets to stay in UK because of human rights laws - BBC.

Enough said, surely there must be a human right which classes every word Clegg says as torture or degrading treatment.

Maybe it's worth a test case?

One is forced to wonder today whether they are putting something in the water at that Liberal Democrat conference.

Out trots Nick Clegg to inform us that those poor rioters are misunderstood, that we're too tough on them, that we should give them some love.

Better yet, we'll prevent such things in future by sending some kids to summer school during the school holidays. We're only asking them to go though, it will be up to them.

Great idea Nick, we wonder when they'll try it in the gang ridden areas of Detroit or the Bronx, bet they can't wait to see how that turns out and how it steers entire generations away from criminality and the gangsta culture.

Fixing this mess will take more of an effort than the sticky plaster of a few weeks in a summer school.

A great start would be admitting that politicians caused it.

Who engineered the breakdown of all moral values and constants, who thought that throwing together millions of people with very different cultural and moral outlooks, who in some cases could not even speak the same language, was a great idea?

Who made sure law and common sense were to become subservient to 'rights' and 'wants'?

It wasn't the British people who wished to erode everything and leave us both culturally and morally bankrupt.

Many even warned of all the problems it would bring, they were shouted down with the usual accusations.

Politicians made this, and politicians aren't going to fix it if the best they can manage is a summer school and hugging a rioter.

We've just watched Britain burn, and we'll see it burn again. The liberal elastoplast and head in the sand approach has been proven a failure, and it will remain a failure.

If there is something in the water Nick, keep on drinking it. It would be a shame for you to come down from whatever hallucinations it has caused and have to face up to the real world with the rest of us.

We're safer with your head in the clouds, though if only your crazy ideas would stay up there with you and stop causing a mess down here.

You've got to love the Lib Dems, going from craziness to craziness. It looks like the crowning achievement of their time in the coalition will be to get details of a holders sex removed from passports.

Apparently it might upset a few transgender people, and those who happen to have the genitalia of both sexes, and removing it will avoid potentially embarassing situations at border controls.

Why stop there though? There's so much else wrong with the passport that might upset people, let's overhaul it totally.

The photograph obviously has to go. Women who wear burkas, people from obscure tribes who believe being photographed steals their soul, those with a phobia, the list of problems is endless. Not to mention that a photograph will lead to discrimination by revealing race, gender, and so on.

Age. Definitely not. Ageism can be the only result. Gone.

Nationality. It's discriminatory against those not British citizens, and may hurt their feelings, to have British Citizen plastered over our passports. Gone.

That leaves issue date and expiry date, no problems there, although expiry could be considered a social stigma and will have to be further investigated in future.

And, Name. After careful consideration that will remain, although we did commission a rights committee to study the equality impacts of name as a means whereby gender and ethnicity could be identified.

A further study has been commissioned to examine the possibility of replacing name with a number or a colour coded sequence like a rainbow so that the last vestiges of information which may lead to discrimination or upset can be consigned to history.

The removal of these details has left us with some space.

To replace Nationality there will be an informative, edifying, and uplifting slogan. As a security measure this will vary according to the issue date of the passport.

The first print run of the new style passport will feature "A hate incident is : Any incident, which may or may not constitute a criminal offence, which is perceived by the victim or any other person, as being motivated by prejudice or hate."

Photographs will now depict edifying and uplifting scenes from modern Britain and its culturally rich diversity. Passport holders will be able to choose from a selection of stock images.

So far photographs included are : a Mosque, a doner kebab (halal), Trevor Philips, a gay pride rainbow, a selection of art from ethnic artists.

Crazy, isn't it?

Sadly, it does seem a logical end to all this madness, the removal of everything in case it offends or upsets someone.

Shame we can't remove politicians like Lynne Featherstone, and the rest of the Liberal Democrats, from public view and influence because of the offense and upset they cause to common sense and to the majority of the British people.

Had he chosen to describe any organisation as "too dark and too female" or "too black and too gay" do you think he'd still have a job left?

The racist witch hunt would have begun in earnest, he'd be hard put not to end up resigning over it.

But, it's okay, he only singled out whites and men, that's fine according to the PC police, nobody bats an eyelid.

It's a fact of our so called equal society that a group or organisation can be "too pale" but never "too dark".

If it is "too dark" well, that's a good thing, and nobody will say a thing about it unless it's to say what a great thing it is, how well minorities are doing and so on.

Anything else would, after all, be racist.

Welcome to the lie that is equality, and the contradiction which allows discrimination in the name of an artificially imposed and distinctly one sided diversity.

Poor old clueless Nick Clegg, yet another blow for him today as a poll conducted by YouGov for the Sun shows his parties popularity has plummeted even further. It won't be long before the Liberal Democrats are about as popular as the flu - well, if they're not there already.

A staggering 63% of those surveyed said that "they do not see the point of the Liberal Democrats".

Do the Liberal Democrats themselves even know what their point is any more, they seem to have surrendered everything they stood for just to get into office.

When it comes to influence in the coalition, 49% say that the Lib Dems have no influence at all on government policy. Only 10% believed the Lib Dems have a lot of influence.

In what has to be a savage indictment on the Liberal Democrats failings and their dancing poodle status in a Tory lite government, 49% of people agreed that "I could never trust the Liberal Democrats, even if they left the Coalition".

Nick Clegg personally fared no better, with just 3 in 10 people thinking that he is doing a good job as the Liberal Democrats leader.

With just about every poll and survey you come across echoing similar results, the Liberal Democrats appear to be walking a road which leads to electoral meltdown at the ballot box next time the public get a say.

The Lib Dems sold out on just about everything they stood for in order to secure their junior partner - aka teaboy - position in the lame duck coalition, and they are learning the lesson that it is a very poisoned chalice.

Many of their supporters, and much of the electorate, have been utterly alienated by the spectacle of clueless Clegg and his leadership minions dancing well and truly to the Tories tune, raising their voices only once in a while to remind people that they are still there.

Clegg and the Lib Dem leadership will be remembered for getting into power at any price - and the price their party will pay will be a high one, reducing the Lib Dems to an irrelevance haunting the last place political graveyard for years.

They'd best savour the couple years left to them in office, it will be a long time before they even get a sniff of another chance.

After the debacle that has been their role in the coalition it will be decades before Britain would trust them to make the tea, let alone run the country.

Former Liberal Democrat Councillor Denis Bennett, who had served on St Austell Town Council, has been ordered to sign the sex offenders register after being found guilty of indecently assaulting a teenager.



During the assault, which took place on December 7 of last year, married father Bennett touched the 18 year old male victim inappropriately, and made remarks about "liking little boys" and told his victim that he wanted to take him "outside and bend you over the nearest object".



The victim had also related to the court how Mr Bennett had offered to perform a sex act on him, which he declined, and that Bennett later texted him expressing concern that he had gone too far.



Despite denying the allegations Bennett was convicted by jury in July, and sentencing at Truro Crown Court saw him placed on a three year sex offender rehabilitation program, ordered to pay £1,400 in court costs, and ordered to sign the sex offender register for three years.



Bennetts defence had argued that the incident had been a jokey act which had got out of hand, and likened him to Carry On comedian Kenneth Williams.



Bennett has resigned as a councillor, and in a statement prior to sentencing, had said that "There is not a day goes by when I do not deeply regret my actions. I am terribly sorry for the hurt and distress I caused to the other man involved, to his family and to my own".

Liberal Democrat councillor and deputy mayor Judith Best has been arrested in connection with a savage attack which left a man requiring hospital treatment and needing 27 stitches.

The assault, which took place in the early hours of the morning, saw 41 year old Neil Potter of Streatham with a broken jaw and broken ribs, as well as needing multiple stitches.

Police attended the scene of the assault, Madeira Road, in the early hours of the morning and Mr Potter was taken to hospital by ambulance.

After receiving treatment for his immediate injuries, including 27 stitches, the following day he had surgery on his jaw.

His father, Steve Potter, has since said that his son would need to eat soft food for several months, and that he is "lucky to be alive"

Details of events are still uncertain, but Judith Best attended a police station shortly after the attack where she was arrested for actual bodily harm with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

She has been bailed until September.

Judith Best, age 51, is Liberal Democrat councillor for the Streatham Wells ward, and also deputy mayor of Lambeth.

Councillor Best's son, Scott Richards, was also arrested after a police chase and remains in custody charged with grievous bodily harm.

Police say that they are also seeking other people in connection with the incident and have appealed for anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers or Lambeth Police.
