Back on the 3rd of June we covered the story of 2 care home workers in Weston Super Mare on trial for neglect after an elderly stroke victim was left with a broken hip untreated for over a week due to the workers covering up an incident in which he fell from his bed as they were making it.

Now both Alfug Andom, from Cameroon, and Euphemia Ntintili, from South Africa, have been convicted of neglect at Bristol Crown Court.

However, it seems that they will escape lightly - Judge Michael Longman has told them that they will likely only get community punishments as they are of previous good character.

Elwira Koziel, from Poland, had already admitted to her part in the incident and received a caution.
