Ken Clarke - when he's not plotting to let criminals off half their sentence just for pleading guilty - seems to have a rather nice line in zooming around in luxury at taxpayer expense, having notched up a bill in for his ministerial car of over £200,000.
Comfortable Clarke, driven around in luxury, didn't use public transport once to any of his official duties, despite Dave Camerons statements upon gaining power that it "annoyed people seeing politicians swanning around in chauffeur driven cars like they're the Royal Family".
The total bill for Ken Clarke and his car? A staggering £212,991 in one year.
More than most of us earn in 10 years, but nothing is too good for Ken. He might be Jusitce Secretary, but there's very little justice in a minister spending a fortune of our money on his car.
Give him a push bike instead. Then, as he pedals around London, he can meet face to face some of those criminals who are out of prison after serving only half their sentence. Best give him a sturdy bike lock too, bikes won't last long with all those thieves about.
