Todays Express carries an interesting piece showing that the Department for International Development (DFID) squandered hundreds of millions of pounds of your money on reckless currency bets.



Last year alone it lost £31million of money marked out for front line aid because it did not insure against currency movements.



It's £3billion portfolio of overseas investments has plunged by £264million since 2009.



A Freedom of Information request for internal audit reports was refused on the grounds that it might harm international relations.



Still, what have they got to worry about - it's only our money, and ConDem will be increasing the aid budget year on year.



Cutbacks, what cutbacks, there aren't any in the foreign aid racket, they keep on getting more and more of our money.
