Good news from Glastonbury, where it seems that the Holy Thorn, hacked down by vandals nine months ago, is showing signs of new life.



Thanks in large part to the efforts of caring locals new shoots are growing, and some are optimistic that it will bloom again in time for Christmas.

There's an inspiration for us all.



Down but not out, just like Britain. If we care, if we put in some effort, our nation too can witness new shoots and one day bloom again.



It won't be easy, but it sure beats giving up and letting the vandals win.



Just as the Holy Thorn can be saved, so can our beloved Britain.
