Judge Douglas Field, at Swindon Crown Court, has amended the sexual offences protection order on Nicholas Lafford of Cirencester to allow him to have contact with young relatives, and to work in a garage and convenience store.
Lafford had been convicted of exposing himself to numerous women and children, and had previously attempted to abduct an 11 year old girl.
He was jailed for 35 months in 2009 after admitting attempted child abduction, carrying out sexual activity in the presence of a child, and indecent exposure.
Quoted from the Swindon Advertiser, Chris Smith, defending, said that "there was no suggestion that he had ever posed a threat to children in the family as all the victims in his offending were strangers"
Fine, upstanding citizen then - one supposes no strangers children will ever use either the convenience store or garage and end up left alone with him there?
Judge Field altered the order so that Lafford was allowed to work in the shop, and so that he was only banned from staying at any address with a female child who is not related to him.
