Mugabe Makes Sense

Even a vile and loathsome dictator like Zimbabwes Robert Mugabe will make sense one in a while, and that day appears to be today. Indeed, he appears to make more sense than our own loathsome politicians.

87 year old Mugabe, hateful architect of white ethnic cleansing in Zimbabwe, seldom misses a chance to mock the West and to pour scorn upon Britain and the United states, nothing new there, but for once he does actually make sense.

"Britain I understand is on fire, London especially and we hope they can extinguish their fire, pay attention to their internal problem and to that fire which is now blazing all over and leave us alone.....We do not have any fire here and we do not want them to create unnecessary problems in our country" said President Mugabe.

You've got to admit it, he does have a point.

Here we are in Britain, watching parts of our cities go up in flames as rioters run rampant, suffering in the midst of a financial crisis, and yet we still insist in poking our noses into other countries affair.

Whilst London burns our leaders eyes are on Africa, whilst our own people suffer for lack of funding our leaders are doling out our money to every third world dictatorship going.

We lack police to control the riots here, but we've troops busy policing some of the most war torn hellholes on Earth.

Doesn't it really come to something when the dictator elect of a racist and evil regime appears to have a better insight into the follies of Britains meddling on the world stage, whilst ignoring its own problems, than our own politicians do?

Never did I dream I would be typing this, but perhaps those in charge should listen to Mugabe on this one point. Let's fix our own problems, they are plentiful enough without our insisting on taking the problems of every nation in the world on as our own.

We can start with Zimbabwe. Mugabe has made his wishes clear, and it makes sense to agree with him. As of today, it is time that we stop the £88 million we give to Zimbabwe in foreign aid - after all, we shouldn't meddle - and spend it on fixing our own problems.

That would be a start at least, before we look at the foreign aid budget as a whole.

Mugabe and his regime are just more honest than most - they don't even pretend they like us or that they'll improve peoples rights and lives in their own countries, yet they'll still keep on holding out their hands for more money because they know we'll still keep on giving.

We have got problems aplenty - it's high time we fixed those and left the likes of Zimbabwe to deal with theirs.
