I live a few clicks from Reliant Stadium and might pop over there to check out the protesters gathering to slam Gov. Goodhair's 'The Response' faith based hate rally at Reliant Stadium later today.

Hey, truth in advertising.   When the American Fascist Association (oops Family), a recognized SPLC hate group is the primary sponsor and you have well known fundie pastors such as John Hagee of San Antonio participating along with other Texas and national faith based haters, you have to call it as you see it.

And when 'only conservaChristians' are invited to participate, well....

To add to the three ring conservacircus that is event has become, the Phelps Phamily is coming to town to protest the event.

But if you conservafools are rolling your eyes and are muttering under your breath 'there she goes again', just check out some of the sponsors of this hate rally and some of the fouyl stuff they've previously said. 




Probably why you've got such a small crowd coming with people like these as the co-sponsors and only one governor that even accepted the invite.   Yep, we know haters when we see them.

This what the real Houston people of faith on the Houston Clergy Council had to say about this travesty desecrating Reliant Stadium.  

We also express concern thatthe day ofprayer and fasting at Reliant Stadium is not an inclusive event.  As clergy leaders in the nation’sfourth largest city, we take pride in Houston’s vibrant and diversereligiouslandscape.  Our religiouscommunities include Bahais, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Jews,Muslims,Sikhs, Unitarian Universalists, and many other faith traditions.  Our city is also home to committedagnostics and atheists, with whom we share common cause as fellowHoustonians.  Houston has long beenknown as a “live and let live” city, where all are respected andwelcomed.  It troubles us that thegovernor’sprayer event is not open to everyone. In the publicized materials, the governor has made it clear thatonlyChristians of a particular kind are welcome to pray in a certain way.  We feel that such an exclusive eventdoes not reflect the rich tapestry of our city.
