Muammar Al Khadafi

Over the weekend somewhere between one and two thousand party members, ex-members and supporters in the South West region received an unsolicited eight-page booklet from a third party urging support for one of the candidates in the current “Leadership Challenge” campaign.

We would like to condemn that booklet – BUT WE CAN’T.

The reason we can’t is that having spent most of the weekend examining the allegations and claims made, to the extent that we are able (we don’t have access to police criminal records for instance), we have concluded that it is substantially true!

Furthermore, we find the present party chairman’s response, as posted on the highly censured and blatantly biased national website run by his staff this morning, wholly inadequate – indeed INSULTING TO OUR INTELLIGENCE.

Very little attempt is made to answer the very many specific and highly damaging accusations made – which begs the question WHY?

So come on Mr. Chairman, if THAT BOOKLET is a “pack of lies” as your dwindling band of supporters maintain then, pray, refute each and every one of the allegations made.

NOTHING LESS WILL SUFFICE!
