Tory party hopeful Joshua Bonehill-Paine has been served with a 12 month community order after a less than illustrious start to his political career saw him breaking into a police station by using his Conservative party membership card to trip the lock.

Drunk Bonehill-Paine began his odyssey when he was thrown out of Phoenix hotel in Chard.

He then fetched up at Chard police station, and after attempting to cadge a lift home - which police refused - he later broke into the station.

He was apprehended in the early hours of the morning when an officer observed him wearing a police issue balaclava and top.

Bonehill-Paine told the officer that "Your security is sh*t, I got in with my card".

He then proceeded to assault two police officers when they attempted to arrest him.

Taken to Yeovil police station, he told officers that he had used his Conservative party card to trip the lock, and that he had done so because he was cold.

Magistrates handed Bonehill-Paine a 12 month community order, which includes 100 hours of community service, after he admitted to burglary and assault.

So that's why the Tories want to cut back on police and close down local stations, it's a secret strategy to prevent their young hopefuls from getting into trouble when they're drunk.

Future Prime Minister material? Political lesson number one though Joshua. Next time use a Labour party card, it's always best to be able to blame it all on the opposition.
