Independant parish councillor Jenny Hulme-Atthis has been banned from Market House in Martock unless she is attending parish council meetings after numerous incidents of multiple abusive behaviour were alleged against her.
Mrs Hulme-Atthis is alleged to have harassed people in the shopping precinct, swore at members of the public, and been abusive to volunteers.
A total of 3 complaints were made against her.
Chairman Roger Powell said that she has shown a disregard for the council code of conduct, and that if she continues to persistently bring the council into disrepute she could be asked to leave meetings.
Councillor Christopher Bell said of Hulme-Atthis that "She has been abusive to our volunteers, swearing at members of the public and trying to bring the parish council into disrepute".
