Muammar Al Khadafi

Gift Veremu, Zimbabwe born and HIV positive, raped a sixteen year old girl he had befriended and groomed, jurors at Bristol Crown Court have been told.

49 year old Veremu, befriended the vulnerable girl over a period of time, before the attack in April of last year.

His alleged victim spoke from behind a screen as she told the jury of the attack Veremu carried out.

He lured her to his home, told her that she was pretty, and then dragged her into his bedroom where he raped her.

After the attack he gave his sobbing victim some "pocket money".

She later told her boyfriend what had happened and the police became involved.

When confronted by police Veremu denied that there had been any sexual contact, but police found a tissue with both Veremu and his victims DNA on it.

Veremu denies raping the girl, and the trial continues.
